Education, Training, & Outreach
The Cambridge Eating Disorder Center (CEDC) has expert professionals available to speak about a number of eating disorder related topics. We provide in-service training and workshops to high school and college staff, counselors, health service professionals, residence assistants, athletic coaches, fitness clubs, and primary care physician practices. We also conduct presentations for college and high school students as well as consultations for healthcare professionals. If you have a patient with an eating disorder who is in need of treatment, please reach out to us. We are happy to discuss the patient’s needs and recommend a level of care that will lead the patient down the road to recovery.
The Cambridge Eating Disorder Center has become a premiere site for the training of professionals in the field of eating disorders. We are a training facility for first year child and adolescent psychiatry students as well as psychiatry residents from Harvard University's Department of Psychiatry. CEDC provides excellent clinical training for professionals in psychiatry, psychology, and social work. Our training program facilitates the transfer of knowledge obtained from clinical care to those who will ultimately bear the responsibility for the care of patients.
